¡Hola! This is the last outfit post from our trip to Miami and its another favorite! We were lucky that our plane back home was a late flight so we had some time to explore. We headed to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens for the day and feel in love with the place! Vizcaya was James Deering's winter home in the 1910's. This guy was the definition of extra! His "quaint" winter home consisted of 180 acres, cost about $3 million to build (which in today's world would be around $60 million!), and took over a decade of planning and construction to complete. The attention to detail in this place is insane! Silk walls, ceilings brought in from Italy, and more. And then, the gardens! These gardens are just stunning, with a photo op at every corner.

To stroll through these gorgeous gardens, I went for this embroidered white dress (it actually has shorts underneath!) with these fun Soludos espadrilles. I actually bought my Soludos from DSW on sale, but they've unfortunately sold out (check out this link for 2 other styles on sale with limited sizes!). Other than one shoe being a little too tight and needing to use a bandaid on my heel while it stretches out, they were very comfortable. I'm also loving this little white dress! Its definitely going to be a stable for me this summer because it is so versatile. The raffia Zara bag I paired it with has been one of my best purchases so far this year. You wouldn't belive all the stuff I could fit in there: an umbrella, mosquito repellent, a fan, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, lipstick, lip balm, my wallet, my cellphone, and a little more! It was the perfect outfit for the perfect day and end to our trip!

Do you have a favorite little white dress for the summer? Where is it from? Let me know below!

¡Hola! I'm so excited to share this look with you guys! It was definitely one of my favorites from the whole trip. We shot in front of this gorgeous colorful mural in Little Havana which gave it all the vibes! More of our day in Little Havana, with more photos, in an upcoming post where I'll share what we did every day we were in Miami. Stay tuned!

This t-shirt says it all: permanent vacation! When I saw it in my nearest Forever 21 store for less than $10, I had to have it. I paired it with this gorgeous ruffled striped skirt for the perfect look for Little Havana! The other detail I want to single out is this gorgeous coral beaded necklace I bought at the Wynwood Street Festival. It was handmade by the sweetest Mexican woman behind Kala Diseño! She had tons of other gorgeous pieces so be sure to check her out.

The Pops of Color at Wynwood

¡Hola! This is the first of a couple of fashion posts from my trip to Miami. These will be followed by a whole post on what we did day-to-day, much like the one from our cruise! We obviously had to visit the Wynwood Walls while we were there! Since we were staying pretty close to the area, in Brickell, it was only a $7-10 Uber drive away. We actually went there the first night we got in too, for the Wynwood Street Festival (more on that in future post), but we knew that we would have to visit again during the day to experience all the murals in the daylight.

There are so many murals, it can be overwhelming! Wynwood is a whole open community and there are murals on every corner. There is also a designated plot of land where there are exhibitions of art and canvases of street art. After walking around for a while my friend, the talented Valeria Cid from A PosCIDtive Smile, suggested we just jump in her car so we can go around quicker. We drove around until stumbling upon this now insta-famous piece of street art and stopped for a little shoot. All the while having a blast with Valeria and her boyfriend/amazing photographer, Kevin Quiles! For more information on the Wynwood Walls, check out posts like this one or this one.

I started the base of my outfit with basic pieces: a plain white tee, mom jeans, and white Converse sneakers. Since it had been a pretty cold morning due to rain, I threw on my newest favorite cardigan which also gave me a pop of color. I accessorized my Zara Raffia Cross-body Bag (which holds so much!) with a colorful scarf for a more personal touch. Top it all off with this gorgeous necklace I bought from Kala Diseño at the Wynwood Street Festival, my cat-eye sunglasses, and done!

Have you ever been to the Wynwood Walls? If so, which was your favorite mural?

The Cruise: What We Did and What I Wore

May 4, 2018

¡Hola! Here it is! Today I'm going to let you in on our day-by-day from our 6-day cruise through the Caribbean aboard the Norwegian Escape. Our experience was amazing and we will definitely be booking another cruise with Norwegian Cruise Lines in the future! This is going to be a long one so grab a drink, some snacks, and settle in to enjoy!

We arrived into Miami the day of the cruise, praying that there wouldn't be any issues with our flight. Thankfully there were none and we made it just in time. Since you check in your heavier luggage (they take it to your room later on), we had prepared our carry-ons with a change of clothes and items to freshen up for the night. We explored the ship, which is HUGE, attended the mandatory safety briefing, and had dinner in one of the complimentary restaurants.

We woke up in Nassau, Bahamas! As you'll notice as we continue, we did not take any of the cruise's excursions. They were too expensive in our opinion and we just wanted to enjoy the beaches. We got off the ship, explored the town and shops for a while and then took a taxi to Cable Beach. The taxi was $6 per person including a pay toll. There we rented out 2 chairs and an umbrella for $30 and bought 4 beers for $20. The beach was beautiful with cristal clear water though there were pretty strong waves.

Once back aboard the ship, we actually went down all of the 3 slides the ship has before grabbing a late lunch and heading back to the room for a nap and getting ready for the evening. After dinner in one of the complimentary restaurants, we checked out The District, a bar aboard the ship with craft beers which had great atmosphere and a photo booth!

Day 3 was spent at sea so we explored all that the ship had to offer! We slept in, had a late breakfast at the buffet and checked out the minigolf course. Can you guess who won? We then ended up in an art auction which was a new and cool experience (and they were handing our free champagne!). We even spent some time working out in the gym!

I won!

Free champagne at the art auction!

We learned so much about this artist, Tarkay, and feel in love with his work!

In the evening, we got ready for dinner and joined the fun going on in the atrium where they would host game shows and competitions every night. Then we experienced After Midnight, the ship's own Tony Award winning musical! The tap dancing was incredible!

S'mores Brownie!

I loved these so much!

We arrived into Ocho Ríos, Jamaica on Day 4. Once off the ship, we hired a local tour guide for $30 each (much cheaper than anything the ship had to offer) which took us through all the famous local spots: Dunn's River Falls (we opted not to do the falls because it was an extra charge and was pretty crowded), Fern Gully (anyone remember the movie FernGully: The Last Rainforest?), a scenic stop, the Taj Mahal shopping center, and lunch at Mama Marley's where we enjoyed some of their famous jerk chicken.

Fern Gully has hundreds of fern species!

We obviously had to try some Red Stripe beer!

After getting ready for the evening, we had dinner as usual and stayed in the atrium because that's really were all the fun was!

How cute is this!

On Day 5 we arrived into our favorite island from the whole trip: Grand Cayman! We were the first off the ship, which had to be by tendering (when a small boat takes you from a larger boat to shore). When we got in, all the shops were closed but we still walked around and explored the town. We already knew we just wanted to spend the whole day at the beach so we grabbed some beers and jumped on the local public bus which took us to the beach for less than $3 per person! Once on the beach, we rented out 2 chairs and 1 umbrella for $15 (half of what we payed in Nassau) and just relaxed. The water was cristal clear, calm and warm. It was definitely our favorite beach from the whole trip!

I paired the same dress from the previous night with flat sandals and a denim jacket for a more daytime look.

Bikini: SheIn (available in red & other colors!)

A quick shower and change of clothes and we were off to dinner and a show! This night we experienced For The Record: The Brat Pack, a musical with all the best songs from the 80's. If you're like me and love The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, etc., you'll love this show!

Our last day before arriving into Miami was spent at sea. We just chilled by the pool, ate ice cream, went on the slides one last time and hit the gym.

At night, we had dinner, had fun watching the games hosted at the atrium, and then saw Thor: Ragnarok in 3D in the Theater with free popcorn! It was the perfect ending.
